According to Google title and description help a lot for your ranking. If you think Google does not use your title and description to understand the content, then you are right. But your audience and searchers use it to decide which result is better for click.

So now if you want to write title and descriptions tags like SEO friendly then read the below guidelines.

Optimize Meta Title Tags

Most SEO experts think meta title is the most important SEO factor in on-page SEO. Because your meta title gives a high-level overview to search engines about a webpage. In my and other expert’s experience, if you write your focus or primary keyword to the beginning of your meta title then they have more weight with search engines.

It is not necessary to have a keyword at the beginning and it does not make sense always to do that. But the keyword closer to your meta title is shown that the front of your meta title tag. That’s why it accepts as a good practice of SEO.

When you write your titles must have one thing in your mind title must be under 60 characters. Because greater than 60 characters titles are not shown properly on Google. Because Google shows only the first 50 to 60 characters.

Now if you write long titles then Google breaks them after 60 characters. Then it does not look good.

Use Meta Title Tag Modifiers

Modifiers are showing happy and sad emotions. Using these modifiers like “checklist”, “best”, “fast”, “guide”, “Most”, “review”, and “Top”. Digit numbers are also used as modifiers in the meta titles. These modifiers can help you to rank for long-tail versions of your focus keyword. For example, check below the title.

One thing remembers is that it is not necessary to use modifiers at the beginning of the title you can also use it at middle or end of the title. Use it where it best suit your meta title.

Now I tell you how to write a complete title sentence.

When you write your titles you can try to add maximum keywords in the meta title. Because this way your title suit multiples keywords. First, write a focus or primary keyword then add your secondary keyword. You can use a tag modifier where it’s important.

In the end, you can use the brand name with a divider. We use divider because this brand name cannot mix with keywords. The divider separates the keywords and brand names. You must avoid adding extra words in titles. In this way, you can write SEO friendly title.

Note: An important thing keeps in mind is not to repeat your keywords or any single word of keywords in the title because of density. Because Google picks keywords on the basis of keyword density. If you repeat keywords the density should increase and difficult to rank.

Optimize Meta Description Tags

The meta description is another important tag in SEO. That is because a good meta description helps your result stand out. That can boost your organic CTR (Click-through Rate). And Google recommended that you must write your own meta description tags. And this tag must be unique and keyword-rich.

The first thing you should know is description length. If you don’t know about length then you did not write SEO friendly description. Here I tell you about length. What are the minimum and maximum character lengths? And how many characters you can add to the description tag.

If you search on Google about the length you can see what Google sees about that.

The best practice for a meta description tag is to write between 120 to 140 characters. You can write more than 140 but less than 155 characters. Then Google shows your description properly. Now keep in mind the max length character limit and write your description that describes and explains your page.

If you write a long description then Google cut off it on 155 characters. And your message can not display properly. And the user did not understand it. Here you can check that.

Now I tell you how to write a meta description sentence. Here is a simple base template that is used to make a description.

In your meta description first, mention your [content overview] then in middle tell about [specific benefit] that attracts the users to click on your link. And at the end tell about [content description].

One thing to keep in mind when you write the description. You should include your meta keywords once in your description. Because it is very necessary to do that because Google bolds keywords and terms that match the user’s search query.

Here you check Google bold the words in the description that match the search query. This helps users to find the most relative results.

This is the main reason to use maximum keywords in the meta description. Because when the user searches different queries then our result matches this query. If we do not use multiple keywords and use only one keyword in the description then our page has a low chance to rank for multiple keywords.

Optimize H1 Tag

H1 tag is an important tag. Because H1 is the face of a web page and a blog. H1 helps users to understand the page structure and as well as helps Google to understand the page structure. Because H1 is like a mini meta title tag.

In fact, Google has stated,

Use your keywords in the H1 tag, so Google and users can understand the content. You can use multiple keywords in the H1 tag that you want to rank for the page.

One important thing is H1 length. Most Expert says H1 should be under 70 characters. This is the best length for an SEO-friendly H1 tag. If you search H1 length on Google see what Google says about this.

This is the best practice of H1 to write between 20 to 70 characters. Use multiple keywords to make an H1 sentence.

You can check the above image we use multiple keywords in the H1 tag like Buying Agent London, Sell House Fast, Sell House Fast London, Probate Property Sale, Fast House Sale, Fast House Sale London. We merge these keywords in the H1 tag and do not repeat the words that have already been used.
